Great band! Great Venue!
Maybe A New Musical - Happy Ending was really at the top of their game for this concert! The HUGE 'jumbotron' screen added to the enjoyment of the show. The sound was exceptional considering the size of the venue. Both opening acts were very good but Maybe A New Musical - Happy Ending really was far and away the stars of the night. I wish more of the upscale restaurants had been open to enjoy something beyond the hot dogs, tacos, and nachos offered by the typical vendors. Last two songs, Nothing Else Matters and Enter Sandman were very well done and segued right from one to another seamlessly. The encore was really the highlight of the night. The facility is great. This was (I believe) the first real concert at Suntrust Park. I spent $25 on a hot dog, Coke, and a funnel cake-they were good but not $25 good. Then the surprised ending of fireworks that lasted over 5 minutes truly capped the evening. Only complaint is that the Battery and surrounding Atlanta streets are not at all capable of handling the kind of traffic generated by these events. Releasing 40-50,000 folks into the traffic pattern was very frustrating for anyone trying to get away. We wound up walking about three extra blocks to find a spot where our Uber driver could begin to reach us.
